ESA-VA MEMBERSHIP REGIONS:

Types of Memberships

Regular Membership

Regular membership in the Association shall be open to any individual, partnership, firm or corporation duly licensed and actively engaged in the business of installing and/or providing alarm service or maintenance under contract in the electrical protection field for a period of one year. Regular members must also be members of the ESA.

 

Associate Membership

Associate membership shall consist of any business entity, or person, which is engaged in the business of manufacturing, distributing, supplying, dealing in or selling products or services relating and necessary to the members of the Association. Associate membership shall also consist of any business entity, or person which would not qualify under the Regular Membership class, but by the nature of their business is involved in security industry.

 

Honorary Membership

Eligibility: Honorary Membership may be conferred on any individual by a unanimous vote of those members of the Board of Directors who are present and voting. 4.4.2 Privileges: Honorary membership shall be dues free and lifelong. Honorary members shall be entitled to all the benefits of this Association including; designating their membership by using the name and/or logo of ESA-VA on their letterhead, advertising, business cards, receiving member services at member rates, serving on committees, except that they shall not vote and shall not hold office. 4.4.3 Responsibilities: Honorary members shall comply with these bylaws, the ESA-VA Code of Ethics, ESA-VA Antitrust statement and all state and local laws in the Commonwealth of Virginia. 

 

Public Safety Membership

Eligibility: Any member of a governmental organization or agency concerned with law enforcement or fire safety shall be eligible for Public safety Membership. Public Safety Membership shall continue only so long as the enabling employment continues. 4.5.2 Privileges: Public Safety members in good standing shall be entitled to all the benefits of this Association including; designating their membership by using the name and/or logo of ESA-VA on their letterhead, advertising, business cards, receiving member services at member rates, serving on committees, except that they shall not vote and shall not hold office. 4.5. 3 Responsibilities: Public Safety members shall comply with these bylaws, the ESA-VA Code of Ethics, ESA-VA Antitrust statement and all state and local laws in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
